Robie Creek

I decided this year to take on Robie Creek. Now after the first mile and a half I will admit that I distinctly remember thinking to myself (what in the he*$ was I thinking!!)

For those of you not familiar with Boise and Robie Creek, it is advertised as the "toughest 1/2 marathon in the Northwest." It didn't disappoint. It was a lot of uphill (including a steep climb to the summit that I walked - along with almost everybody else!!)

Weather wise - it ended up being a perfect day! No rain and sunny -but not too hot. First 8.5 miles are straight uphill, followed by a crazy almost 5 miles back downhill!!

My sweet husband came to the finish line to cheer me on....I asked him if he could snap of pic of me crossing and this is what I got :)

We are going to say that I was so blazingly fast crossing the finish line that he could not capture me.

Ok not really.

My time was 2.18.57.7. I finished 1066 out of 2413. Average. I will take it. Good enough. And I'm already ready to do it again!

Who's in?!?!

San Francisco

Girls' weekend in San Fran!! My 3 sisters and I got to go play for a few days in San Francisco! None of us had ever been there before, so we had to do all the "touristy stuff!" Starting with..
THE BRIDGE

Yup - the bridge. So fun to see, even if it was swaying in the wind!!
Pinching the bridge... ALCATRAZ

I think I look a little too happy... This is better... Before and after the flash in solitary... Lots of shopping and touring and eating..

Stumbled upon creepy old arcade games...

(it really was shocking)

Cable car rides!

We got very lucky for our first ride, there was practically no one on it!! We got to take lots of pics and make fools out of ourselves :)

Chinatown

Cheap shopping and disgusting chinese food (but I pretended to eat it!)

Beach

You were good to us San Fran!!

Sidwalk chalk

Coloring with sidewalk chalk is a very tiring business!! It also (apparently) makes you lose your pants...
